Every Day is a Demo Day at The Kayak Centre

Try before you buy – every day is a demo day at The Kayak Centre of Rhode Island! We know the best way to decide which kayak or SUP is right for you is to try them, which is why we offer the ability to demo any day of the week. Our superb waterfront location and terrific staff can assist you with an on-water demo prior to your kayak or SUP purchase. At this current time, we are not offering demos on the weekend due to staff shortages.

Demo Appointments

If you are interested in doing a demo, please call (401) 295-4400 or email us at [email protected] to book an appointment. This helps us plan for staffing and make sure we have a dedicated person to help you find the perfect boat or board for you!

Demo Fees

$50 for kayak or SUP

$100 for pedal drive kayaks

This demo fee will be applied to the purchase of any in-stock or special order kayak/SUP and is non-refundable.

Demos are to stay in the back pond of our location and last about 15 – 20 minutes. We provide all necessary equipment, including a paddle, PFD, and a drysuit if needed. However, if you have your own gear we highly recommend bringing it so that you can get a feel for it with the boat/board.
